Well, I am one who is going to say good for the quick response of the specialists who took to the shooting of the cougar! Whether the cougar was from North or South Dakota, or tim-buck-too, why does it matter? A cougar is a cougar is a cougar! They are extremely dangerous animals and why would any conservation officer want to put that on their shoulders to say "gee what should we do" "should we wait and see if the cougar strikes at one or more of us"... the cougar was in a residential area!! Why wait until the cougar stikes to then say, "oh they should have killed it right away and this wouldn't have happened"!! I applaud the conservation officers for their quick response to this wild animal whether the cougar was lying beneath a tree or walking up the trunk of the tree, it just doesn't matter. CONGRATS and GREAT JOB TO THE CONSERVATION SPECIALISTS!!!
