This dog not only watches TV, he has favourite shows.

An update on the boob tube loving Rottweiler. Grizz. He’s my cousin’s dog. Loves animal shows of course, and rodeo...it’s the bulls...he also likes curling...but hockey, not so much. Except "Coach's Corner."

My cousin had told me that Grizz comes running when he hears the music that introduces Don Cherry’s segment. It’s not Grapes that Grizz is such a fan of, it’s Blue. He responds to Don Cherry’s dog, who briefly appears on screen and barks. Grizz finds this quite stimulating and likes to bark back.

I was there for Saturday’s game and sure enough, the music has him at full attention. Until the dog is done. Then Grizz leaves, because he’s not interested in hockey.

This dog recognizes the music for Coach's Corner and comes running. Now I know that the experts will tell you dogs don’t really watch TV...but don’t tell Grizz. He’s having too much fun doing what the experts say he doesn’t do. 

By the way, this is Grizz in all his glory after destroying a frisbee. My daughter thinks he's smiling.  He's certainly happy.
