It's A Roughrider Recession
So the election campaign is underway and I think across this province we can all agree there is one overarching issue we’d like to see Brad Wall and Dwain Lingenfelter address.
Yes, our economy is growing and people are moving here, but our Roughrider Index is trending sharply downward! The indicators are clear; the team hasn’t scored a touchdown since the days of leather helmets and they’ve been outscored 99-9 in their last three games.
We are now officially experiencing a Rider Recession.
What is Brad Wall going to do about this? He inherited a Roughrider team that won a Grey Cup. They stayed good for the next couple of years, which has kept the Roughrider vacancy rate near zero, but suddenly the team is about as dynamic as Dalton McGuinty.
What about Dwain Lingenfelter? Can he suggest some government intervention to keep other teams from scoring too much? Score Control? Might there be some equalization that we could invoke to get some other players?
Because if we’re talking about taking care of Saskatchewan’s interests, really, what are we more interested in than the Roughriders? Address that, and the election is yours.
