It has recently come to my attention that there may be some discrepancy between what a guy and girl consider clean.

So the Edmonton Oilers are going back to the 80's for inspiration for their new alternate (3rd) jersey. How awesome is that?! I would say about as awesome as Snoop Dogg's video for Sensual Seduction, I just saw it, and it was so freaking incredible, you can see it here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKz-RXSeIYA .

I'm hitting the summer-wall these days.  I made the mistake of taking my holidays early - late June/early July. I don't think I'll do that again.

The Great Gordie Howe

I better blog again before I take off on holidays for two weeks.

What a thrill it was to introduce my two sons, 16 and 13, to Gordie Howe when he was in Saskatoon last week. Gordie as always was a treat to visit with. I had never met his son Marty until last week. A fine gentleman as well. It's hard to believe Mr. Hockey is 80. Grown men become little kids when they are around Gordie Howe. It was great of Gordie, Marty and Mike Babcock to help out Garry Peters with his Kidsport efforts at Dakota Dunes. It was great.

Top Sports Games Part 2

So first of all, I need to cover a couple games that didn't make the cut for one reason or another. Those Mutant League games were pretty wild, as Avalanche commented on friday, but those games fit into the NFL Blitz, NFL Street type games, which are all about fun and game play, and there is nothing wrong with that, but I have always been more of a franchise, stats, build up your player type of gamer.

Some other games that had to be cut, even though I love them very dearly :

RBI baseball - First game to get an MLB liscence

I took in two movies this weekend!

The first one --- The X-Files: I Want to Believe

Dir: Chris Carter   Stars:  David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson

Synopsis:  Mulder and Scully are back, working with the FBI to solve a case involving a missing agent, a bunch of body parts, and a disgraced psychic priest.  This movie is not based on the alien conspiracy storyline that ran through the series.

If you're a fan at Mosaic stadium you've seen this on the Maxtron.  If not, maybe you've seen it on TV.

But it's worth a watch and shows just how "Canadian" our CFL is.  Enjoy.

--Can we start a pool as to whether not a member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders will play ALL 18 games this year. Durant, Fantuz and Johnson are the latest ones to go down. This is getting ridiculous.

--Memo to the Riders: Can you please stop scheduling games on the night of wicked thunderstorms. Is it that or is the organization trying to re-capture the memory of last years Rain Bowl against the Eskimos.
