After a week of severe weather across the province, I am convinced that we are an ignorant lot in Saskatchewan.
I always get befuddled as people whine, cry and complain when the nationwide crime stats come out and Regina and Saskatoon are inevitably at the top of the list. It seems some think it's part of a great eastern conspiracy to make us look bad out in here in the west. There are other cities our size in Canada. It's not like we have the market cornered on having a population of 150k to 250k... so there is no excuse for the insanely high crime stats for our two big cities.

In the broadcasting biz, you're always taught a couple of things.
1. Be nice to those who work for you.
2. If you're not nice to those who work for you, mysteriously you'll have videotape of you not being nice leaked to the world at large.
This is a big week in the world of baseball. For fans of the game, it is the swan song for The House that Ruth Built as the MLB All-Star Game takes place at legendary Yankee Stadium in New York. At the end of this season, Yankee Stadium - which has stood since the 1920s - will come tumbling down as the legendary ball team moves in to a new stadium next summer.
Welcome to Saskatche-whine... where we continue to prove that we can be even BIGGER divas than Sir Elton himself.
The provincial government - with, apparently nothing better to do - will now undertake an investigation as to how the tickets for Saskatchewan's three upcoming Elton John concerts were sold.
I spent my weekend surfing around YouTube looking at Tornado videos. Everything from storm chaser footage, to recorded broadcasts of live coverage from US television stations.
But of all the videos I came across, this one has to be the most interesting. It is from May of this year on a night when over a dozen confirmed tornadoes touched down across the state of Kansas.
I am Catholic.
I went to a Catholic school. I was raised in a Catholic home. I was even an altar boy. (And a pretty darn good one at that.)
I believe in Jesus Christ. I believe in God. I try to be a good-hearted person.
I live by the golden rule. I do my best to follow the Ten Commandments. I even abstain from meat on the high holy days.
The last 24 hours have been a real eye-opening experience for me, sifting through comments for this website from people who purport to be "faithful."
