SURN sounds angry.
SUN sounds happy.
How can you disagree with the word SUN?
Like the unionesque term "working people" (because non-unionized folks like you and I don't "work", I guess), the use of words by SUN bother me.
It's clear from the folks who get through on the talk shows pretending to be average joes - even though they rattle off union-like talking points - that one thing is very clear in the ranks of RNs... registered nurses are the only kind of nurses that exist. By the very definition of the union's name, they are the union of nurses. Anyone not in the union (LPNs?) aren't nurses, I guess.
But you and I know better.
LPNs are nurses. Very qualified nurses.
As a result, SUN doesn't speak for all nurses.
Let's call SUN what it is... SURN.
