--In the NFL, Hamilton wins that football game and I honestly did not know the rule was different in the CFL. To be quite honest, I think the rule should be defence's football. Its not though and that is what matters.

First, you can't fault
First, you can't fault Dressler for fumbling, that was a very heads-up play by that defender. As to the rules on recovery, as I understand it, causing a fumble does not give the defense automatic possession, they must touch it after it comes loose and before it goes out of bounds. Dressler clearly made contact after it came loose, ergo Sk ball. The nfl is different, you say? That doesn't make them right.
Check cfl.ca for a copy of the rule book. It's $12.95, and you have to order a copy as they only publish the changes from '07 on their website.
Dressler fumble
Mitchell, do you really think the defence should get possesion when a ball is fumbled out of bounds? That makes no sence to me.
If a ball is fumbled out of bounds on the sidelines, the offence maintains possesion and scrimages where the ball went out, and that makes eminent sence to me.
What happened yesterday was Dressler fumbled out of bounds. Period. But you can't scrimage in the end zone, right. So scrimaging on the one is the only way it could happen.
