Milgaard Report Fails To Satisfy. But Did You Expect It Would?

So, there was no wrongdoing in the David Milgaard case, although the Commission of Inquiry does find the justice system failed him.

No wrongdoing. No one did anything wrong, it was just a series of incredibly unfortunate events, mistakes if you will. One after another, after another after another…. But no one ever, as far as can be determined to a judge’s satisfaction, ever did anything that purposely amounted to screwing David Milgaard over.

I've Heard of Coating A Chicken, But This is Ridiculous

Have you ever seen anything this funny?

Animal rights activists in Britain stepped in to save Buffy the chicken after she lost her feathers.  One version is that the other chickens were pecking her.  They took her back to the animal rescue centre, where a volunteer knitted her a 'jumper' and she's now toasty warm and enjoying life; as much as chickens are capable of sentient thought.

Enjoy Buffy....the Colonel is waiting.

Strip Them Of Rider Nation Citizenship!

So, because I was on the west side of Taylor Field, I really wasn’t aware Saturday night what all the fuss was about. Over on the rowdy east side, some so called 'fans' embarrassed the Rider nation with boorish beer throwing.

Elton John never got a dime out of me till this year, but he’s done pretty well by me now.

My two teenage daughters came to the show. Since my son got to see the Stones, I figured they’d get Elton and then we’re square. They were only mildly interested, even though it was costing about five hundred dollars for four tickets.

Lipstick On a Pig. Could Happen!

I’m not sure Barack Obama is right. I think it is possible to put lipstick on a pig. Not easy, but possible. I’m guessing Barack doesn’t have much practical experience with porcine type critters.

For starters, it would depend on the size of the pig.

Well, if you’re still not sure about Michael Bishop, he made a pretty convincing argument on Sunday in Winnipeg. And he did it with receivers, who in some cases were playing in their first CFL game.

Bishop threw for 370 yards and four touchdowns and ran for another 53 yards. He saved the brilliance for the 4th quarter though. In fact, by the end of the 3rd quarter, Ken Miller wouldn’t have been criticized for switching to Darian Durant.

Wake Up! The Campaign is On!

As you awoke on Sunday to the, well not exactly news, more like confirmation that we are in another federal election campaign, you may have wondered for one thing, why it happened in the wee hours of the morning.  Perhaps you felt a bit slighted that the Prime Minister would announce a vote when Western Canada was still asleep. Perhaps you think that signifies something. Perhaps you don’t care.

At any rate, the campaign is on. We are told it is one of, even the single most important campaign in our history. As usual.
