So much for spending his million dollars on not-real fur coats and Kraft Dinner.
But...big deal, right - a musician and blow? Hardly surprising.
Well it is to me, given that my son is addicted (pardon the pun) to BNL's latest album entitled Snacktime, a children's album which pretty much cemented the band's uber-clean image.
The band's manager, Terry McBride, said he's "confident that Steven will be completely exonerated (yeah yeah)...it's business as usual for The Barenaked Ladies".
"Business as usual", hey? Really?
Everybody taking their kids to the children's concert BNL are scheduled to play in August - raise your hands.
Undoubtedly it's not the end for Page or BNL, but they might want to rethink this whole children's thing. Because when you start targetting kids, the only white powder you'd best get caught with is the icing sugar on the birthday cake at the 4 year old's party that your freaking album is playing at over, and over, and over, and over....

Is your son aware that he got caught with drugs? Does it matter to him? I'm guessing probably not. It doesn't matter to kids, they just like the songs.
I don't think Steven Page is going to come to Saskatoon and push drugs on kids. I don't think he's putting subliminal messages in his music to make them take drugs. It seems that you think he has personally targeted you and your son. Nope, the world doesn't revolve around you.
I can understand as a parent you want to protect them from the dangers of drug abuse, but really, you might as well keep him away from everything entertainment related. I'd say there are more dangers from video games, TV, movies and things right outside your door, than there is from his music.
Since when did "facing charges" equal guilty?
