About Entertainment Weekend

Craig Silliphant brings listeners of News Talk Radio a critical, yet often hilarious, look at entertainment and media from around the world and closer to home.

Craig Silliphant, who is also known as “The Movie Geek”, hosts the one-hour, provincially broadcast entertainment show heard on News Talk Radio each Saturday afternoon.

Special attention is paid to Saskatchewan productions and performers on Entertainment Weekend, which also focuses on local music. It is the only News Talk show to feature live music in studio!

Craig also has movie news and reviews of both Hollywood and international films. There are lots of opinion panels, interviews and even the odd tech segment.

When he’s not hosting the show, Craig is the entertainment editor and creative director for Rawlco Radio. He is also the director of Thoughtlab Media. Craig’s writing has appeared in publications like the National Post and Planet S (and Prairie Dog) magazines. He was the writer and co-producer of Stolen Sisters, the Global Television/Fahrenheit Films documentary.  Silliphant is also a juror on the national Polaris Music Prize.
