Geoff Smith

Geoff Smith
Reporter/Anchor

Geoff Smith has an uncanny ability to retain information.  On a moment's notice, he can recall even the most obscure facts.  (Or Simpsons quotes.  Or pop culture references.)  It's a good thing -- considering how often journalists have to think on their feet.

Geoff has spent his entire radio career in the province of Saskatchewan, with stops in Prince Albert and Saskatoon before coming home to Regina as part of the News Talk team.  He has done it all -- from programming to producing to reporting to anchoring.

In his time as a journalist, Geoff has had the opportunity to cover many major stories including the Prince Albert forest fire in 2002, the City of Regina strike in 2005,
the Amber Alert and Spiritwood Shootings in 2006, and the 2007 Grey Cup celebrations.

Away from the microphone, Geoff has an interest absorbing as much knowledge as he can about local history. He's also at home walking or jogging in many of the province's great parks.
