Murray Wood

Provincial News Director, Host - The Murray Wood Show

Murray is an award winning editorialist.  He has been recognized by his peers as one of the very best on the air in the Canadian broadcast industry.  He is a talk show host and the Provincial News Director for Rawlco Radio, a reporter and an accomplished writer.  In other words, Murray Wood is involved, just ask his family.

From his hometown Saskatoon, Murray did what so many do when they finish school, he moved to another province to pursue his career.  His initial radio training was in North Battleford where he learned to be a news anchor.  He was in Calgary for the Olympics and the beginnings of the Klein years in office. He did a public affairs program in Ottawa and then he and his wife chose to raise their family in Saskatchewan.  Murray brought his experience home and Rawlco Radio is pleased that he did.

Saskatchewan is perfect for Murray.  He loves the outdoors.  He’s a hunter, a hiker, a camper and while he travels to the mountains of BC every so often to ski, it is never during Roughrider season.  If the Riders are on the field at Mosaic Stadium in Regina, Murray and one of his children are in the stands.  He is a long time supporter and season ticket holder.
Murray will argue passionately that Saskatchewan is always on daylight saving time, just ask him.  And if you are looking for a good book to read, you can ask him that too.  The Murray Wood Show is heard province-wide weekday afternoons on News Talk 650 in Saskatoon and News Talk 980 in Regina.
