I just see a huge red flag when it comes to giving my money to a community that could easily have that money go to waste. I think when you come on here and shame people for not wanting to give money your a bit out of line. You have know idea of someone's personal views or finances. I know you could argue that giving money to the red cross will make sure that it goes to good use, but in Haiti they are well known for not banding together in a crisis but stealing and killing eachother.
After a hurricane hit Haiti in 2008, rather then working together the poverty strickin were killed or beaten for whatever they had. In my mind even if supplies are given out by the red cross most will be stolen and stock piled by gangs and crooked government. Get some facts before you give your money away and then make a decision. Also get some facts before you shame other people.

After the recent posts in favour of banning Muslims from flying, more prayer in schools, etc etc I am rapidly considering moving to another province in the next couple of years. Saskatchewan is known for two things: Bible Belt and if you're gonna fit in you better be just like everyone else here or else. This is a narrow-minded, frightened province at best.
