2010 World Junior Hockey Championships Coming to Sask
Sask bid committee beats out Manitoba
Get set to see some of the best hockey in the world - up close and personal.
At a 12 noon news conference at TCU Place today, Hockey Canada will formally announce that Saskatoon and Regina will host the 2010 World Junior Hockey Championships.
The Saskatchewan bid committee, along with the two mayors, and Premier Brad Wall were in Toronto June 6th, pitching the two cities. They were up against a bid from Mantioba.
In 2010, the games will be split betwen Saskatoon and Regina. The gold medal game will be at Credit Union Centre.

Couldn't believe my ears this morning when the 6:00 sportscast let me in on the good news. I don't mind making the 2 hour drive up to Stoon to see the Team Canada games, and I'll be taking in the Regina games as well. Can't wait to get tickets!
