Was I the only one who laughed?
Guy gets cut off...
guy starts honking horn and following the car that cut him off...
guy GETS OUT OF VEHICLE to confront the one(s) who "wronged" him
guy is severely beaten...
I don't condone the severe assult the 23 year old endured... but if he slowed down and let them in, instead of speeding up and then being "cut off" this would have never happened.
If the 23 year old was maintaining proper following distance (3 seconds) then there would have been plenty of room for the car to get in front of him... instead he was driving with barely enough room in front of him for someone to sneak in.
road rage
Three seconds does not allow another car to butt in without having to hit your brakes or slow. How do you presume to know the circumstances of this incident. Although, there is something questionable about following someone who wrongs you in traffic....(have you never made an error driving???)it is never ok to retaliate in violence. This is deplorable.
Saskatoon drivers
This incident is anything but surprising. Saskatoon is turning into an ugly place to visit. I live about 40 minutes away and every time I have to go to the city, I dread it. Most drivers are rude, inconsiderate and simply ignore the rules of the road. I had a guy give me the finger the other day because I was going the speed limit. I also do not understand why so many people HAVE to drive..why not walk or take the bus? How many of you have been on Saskatoon's transit system-besides students and those trying to save a buck along with the environment???? The seats are comfortable, the busses are clean and the drivers are excellent. It beats the hell out of having to drive amongst the unpredictable and incompetent drivers that plague Saskatoon.
One word.....ridiculous!
One word.....ridiculous! Okay, a few more.....this is an extreme instance of road rage, but even the minor ones are not justified. If we don't have a law against road rage, there should be one. We need to start yanking these yahoos licenses...they do not deserve the privelige of driving. Even today in Regina, I witnessed two grown men (brainless) in a crappy old brown Dodge get out of their truck at a red light (Broad and 11th Avenue) and yell and swear at an older gentleman. Then they ran like cowards back to their truck and sped off when the light changed. This poor senior was probably confused and scared witless...how could you live with yourself you scumbags?
I contacted the police with some info and they said they really can't do anything about it. I realize there are probably a lot more important things to do than to track down two inbreds but if we could just make a few examples out of these jack***es then maybe everyone would just settle down a little bit.
Can you imagine calling your elderly father or mother one night and have them tell you about a harrowing experience like this while out driving? I would be, and am, furious.
Let's start calling in things like this to our police departments. If we could get just one of these miserable idiots off the road, that would be a good start.
There's a life lesson here...
Should have just got close enough to get a plate number and turned that over to the
police. The police may or may not do anything depending on their priorities at any
given time, but it keeps you from getting stabbed and beaten by a group with a
tire iron.
