Premier Reacts To Throne Speech
Concerned about cap and trade system
The Saskatchewan Government isn't reacting too well to the notion of a nationwide cap and trade system.
It's the plan revealed in the federal Throne Speech.
But given the current economic climate both in the US and Canada, Wall thinks those in Ottawa must take a serious look at such a proposal.
Wall would only support a plan that allows the provinces to keep any revenues generated from the levy placed on those emitters who exceed the cap.
He would use that money to look at technological ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, like nuclear power and clean coal.
