Regina Skip Moves In To Page Playoff

Michelle Englot defeated Mary-Anne Arsenault of Quebec in an extra end in a tie-breaker at the Canada Cup of Curling in Yorkton on Friday night. The Regina skip now takes her team in to Saturday's A2-B2 page playoff game against Cheryl Bernard of Quebec. The other women's game has Marie-France Larouche of Quebec against Shannon Kleibrink of Calgary in the A1-B1 page playoff. The winner advances to the final, while the loser will face the winner of the Englot-Arsenault game.

In men's play Edmonton's Kevin Martin has finally suffered a loss. Toronto's Wayne Middaugh defeated the Brier champion 7-5 on Friday. Martin faces Randy Ferbey of Edmonton in todays A1-B1 page playoff game, while Middaugh takes on Brier finalist Jeff Stoughton in the B1-B2 page playoff game.
