There's just one thing bad about any party, the clean-up the next day. And when the Canada Day party features thousands, picking up all the trash left behind takes that much longer.

With fireworks late into the evening there is little time for clean-up. So as the sun rose on Wascana Park the trash was evident, but so were the garbage trucks.

Wascana Centre Authority CEO Bernadette McIntyre insists it isn't just the trucks that are kept busy.

"We staff up for the summer months, so we are at full staff, and we have everybody that is available working to clean-up."

McIntyre expects the park to fully return to its usual impeccable grounds by the weekend.
