Green Party Release Election Platform

Seeking proportional representation
Story Tools

As the byelection clock ticks down, the Green Party of Saskatchewan is releasing its platform. And nuclear power is the key issue.

The Greens are saying no to nuclear power and feel they are the only party united in that message. And despite barely registering in previous election results, leader Larissa Shasko maintains her party is the only one offering voters a valid option compared to their political rivals.

"It puts those voters in a place where they have to make a decision. What is more important? Power? Or making sure that we avoid nuclear power and making sure we go with green power."

The Greens are also pushing for free University education, and proportional representation.

The party doesn't think Dwain Lingenfelter should be a candidate while the RCMP investigation in to the NDP membership fraud continues.

Greenies

My taxes better not be paying for anything to do with Green Party.

Who cares

Are these guys even relevant anymore? I cannot wait to read about the Communist platform as they are about as relevant as the greens.

lol. Is this a joke?

Finally!

I'm so glad there is at least one party that is against nuclear power. It's so unfortunate how in our current (un)democratic system, only two parties have representation, and neither of them will voice the strong opposition to nuclear power felt by so many of Saskatchewan residents, as shown by the as yet unannounced results of the UDP consultations.
