More details following a double fatal ultra-lite crash south of Saskatoon.

An investigation found the aircraft, which went down in a field south of Saskatoon, had structural problems.

The T-S-B says glue joints, and the fibre glass layers connected to it were not strong enough to support the right wing.

But they can't say much else.

Spokesperson Peter Hildebrand says that's because there's little else to go on.

He says few records are kept on this type of aircraft, which was built using a kit.

He says Transport Canada did not keep records on who built the aircraft, or who maintained it, or what maintenance might have been done.

Flight Instructor Vern Reese, and student Ryan Chute were killed when the ultra-lite crashed in a field in August.
