Deliver four babies in nine weeks
Story Tools

It's a welcome change of pace for paramedics who deal with tragic events on a daily basis. M-D Ambulance said they've delivered four babies (three boys and one girl) in nine weeks. The most recent was Saturday afternoon in Saskatoon. Paramedics were on their way to Royal University Hospital and the pregnant  women, nor the baby, could wait to get there. The baby was delivered in the ambulance which was pulled over to the side of the road. It's a healthy baby boy. M-D said there'll be a reunion for paramedics once the new mom and baby are feeling up to it. In the past two months, babies have been delivered by paramedics on Highway 11 (Sept. 6), University Drive (Sept. 11) and College Drive (Nov. 3) in Saskatoon.
