The City of Regina has some ideas on what to do for Family Day.

"We have in a partnership with Skate Regina a Family Day Skate one to four at the Doug Wickenheiser Arena, and it's free, and there's hot chocolate and cookies," said Todd Girgulis with the city, adding there's 42 outdoor rink sites still being maintained.

"The major facilities, which include the northwest leisure centre, are open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. That's extended hours for the holidays."

City transit will be running on the Sunday schedule.
