Two dead in Prince Albert murder suicide
Two people are dead after what police are calling a murder-suicide over the weekend.
Just before 2 a.m. Sunday morning, Prince Albert police responded to a 9-1-1 call of gunshots in the 100-block of Donaldson Street in the city’s west end.
When officers arrived, they found two people--a 43-year-old female and a 44-year-old male--inside the home, each with a fatal gunshot wounds.
Police said both victims lived at the residence, and were involved in a domestic relationship.
“I’m not going to comment on any investigative details,” said Prince Albert Police Sgt. Kelly Mclean at a press conference earlier this morning.
“As you can imagine, this is a very tragic time for the family. I can tell you that there were more than two people living in the residence, but that’s as far as I’m going to go.”
Investigators said they have determined the incident to be a murder-suicide. The names of the victims will not be released.
